Cardiff Council is committed to commissioning Financial Independence Support Services to assist vulnerable adults who have been assessed by Cardiff Council Adult Social Services as requiring support with managing their financial responsibilities. This need is based on an individual’s mental capacity, impairment and an inability to manage their own financial affairs, or risk of financial exploitation. Cardiff Council is seeking to understand the market from providers who are committed to providing Independent Financial Support Services that meet the needs of vulnerable adults. The Provider is to provide expert independent advice, information, practical help and statutory support to vulnerable Individuals, who have care and support needs for which Cardiff Council is Commissioning a care and support package to meet their agreed outcomes, on Individual financial management and day-to-day money matters. The service will promote the financial independence and security to Individuals identified by Adult Social Care Teams and will have the capacity to meet individuals face to face that is suitable to the individual in receipt of the service.
