Yate Town Council (YTC) require a supplier to design and build a new skatepark for wheeled sports within the existing Peg Hill Skatepark, to replace through the demolition and removal of the existing skatepark, which has come to the end of its life. Our objective is to create a space for wheeled sports that will offer people of all ages and a range of abilities, access to as wide a range of opportunities as possible. The space should be visually appealing, exciting, challenging and stimulating. We are looking for an innovative design that makes good use of the space and available budget. The design should be suitable for a wide variety of users, including skateboards, skaters, scooters and BMX with a mix of bowl and street features accessible to beginners, while providing interest and opportunity to advanced users. The layout should provide enough distinction between ability to avoid user conflict, whilst maintaining good flow and transfers between different areas.
