The proposed scheme comprises internal reconfiguration and refurbishment works to expand and modernise the existing kitchen facilities. The works will include the demolition of selected internal walls to create a larger and more efficient kitchen space, removal of an existing staff kitchenette, associated doors, wall finishes, vinyl flooring and minor wall projections. New fire-rated stud walls will be constructed to separate the kitchen from the Manager's Office, together with additional fire-rated internal partitions and fire doors to form a kitchen office and a dedicated fridge/freezer room. Existing access arrangements will be reconfigured to provide a wider door opening, allowing direct trolley access from the main corridors into the kitchen. Refurbishment works will include the installation of new anti-slip flooring with coved skirtings, floor-to-ceiling hygiene wall cladding-incorporating brushed (2B finish) 304-grade stainless steel wall panels-redecoration, new all-electric kitchen equipment and shelving, to meet current standards across the Hampshire County Council estate.
