How to win: West Yorkshire District Travel Diary Survey

About this contract

West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA) and Local Authorities require high-quality, robust data on the travel behaviour of residents across West Yorkshire to inform policy-making; support the development, appraisal and evaluation of transport strategies and schemes; and to understand the wider impacts of transport investment and policy decisions. The Combined Authority, therefore, seeks to engage competent Consultants (Consultancy firms) to provide a comprehensive market intelligence on transport research to help deliver a successful West Yorkshire District Travel Survey (WY TRADS) contract.

How to win contracts like this

• ✓Answer against the marking scheme, not the question text — West Yorkshire Combined Authority scores each response, so map your evidence to the published criteria and weightings.
• ✓At £250,000, expect quality and social value to carry a large share of the score — price alone rarely wins services work.
• ✓Show recent, comparable delivery: name similar services contracts you've delivered for public bodies, with measurable outcomes.
• ✓Start early: it closes 5 August 2026 and a strong bid takes iteration.

BidWriter drafts your responses from your company profile, scores them against the marking scheme, and tracks your whole pipeline. Free to start — no card needed.
