In 2004, Watford FC’s Community Sports & Education Trust was formed as an independent registered charity, dedicated to improving lives through sport, education, health and wellbeing programmes. The Trust's current five-year strategy, Tactically Speaking, focuses on creating healthier, happier and stronger communities across Hertfordshire and surrounding areas, supporting individuals to overcome barriers, improve wellbeing and achieve positive outcomes. Through trusted relationships, tailored support and community-based opportunities, the Trust aims to empower individuals to make meaningful and sustainable changes in their lives. The Bounceback programme builds on the success of the previous intervention, evolving from a group-based model into a personalised one-to-one mentoring and reintegration service. Delivered by a dedicated male coach from Watford FC's Community Sports & Education Trust, the programme is designed to improve mental wellbeing, increase confidence, reduce barriers to engagement and support individuals to play a more active and positive role within their communities.
