About this contract

The HS2 Operational Telephone System shall provide an integrated, route wide, telephone communications system at key infrastructure locations to support the operation and maintenance requirements of HS2. The Operational Telephone System shall be based on VoIP technology and consist of the following sub systems: • SIP Telephony Server (at primary + secondary location for redundancy) • Station SIP server at each of the four HS2 stations, to provide SIP solution for Station end devices (end devices are provided by the HS2 station contractor). • Voice Recorder • HMI touch screens - for use by HS2 NICC operations staff, Station Controllers, Depot Controllers to make and receive operational calls. • IP Telephony consisting of the following: o Fallback IP Phones - suitable for operators desk and will act as a fallback for the OTS HMI o Equipment Room IP Phones - suitable for desk or wall mounted within equipment rooms and REBs. o Tunnel Ventilation Equipment Room - IP telephony or intercom suitable for high background noise environments. o Ruggedised Direct Line and Keypad phones - suitable for highs
