A goods contract from CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY HOSPITALS NHS FOUNDATION TRUST, worth £270,000. Below: what it involves and how to write a winning bid for it.
The Cambridge Genomics Lab provides a comprehensive range of genomic testing for patients with haematological malignancies (haem-onc), with solid cancer, and with rare disease. In the haem-onc setting, we currently utilise a range of molecular techniques including Next-generation sequencing, quantitative PCR, and fragment analysis to identify and monitor clinically significant genomic alterations. However, there is an increasing requirement for high sensitivity, quantitative molecular testing both to support diagnosis and for disease monitoring / assessment of therapeutic response. We are therefore looking to procure a Digital / Digital Droplet (dPCR / ddPCR) system to complement the laboratory’s existing molecular testing capabilities. This would also intend to facilitate the consolidation of multiple existing assays and methodologies onto a single technology platform.
