Weston-super-Mare Town Council is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from suitably experienced and qualified companies for Collapsed Stone Walling at Milton Road Cemetery with an estimated value of £75,000. The purpose of this project is to rebuild a section of a retaining wall at the Milton Road Cemetery in Weston super Mare. The wall is in the Weston Super Mare Conservation area. The project aims are to: Rebuild a collapsed section of stone retaining wall with improved stability and matching the existing appearance. The company will need to have proven and demonstrated experience in similar projects and the wide-ranging skill bases to achieve the various elements of the contract which include providing temporary support to retained ground, demolishing and removing collapsed and unstable sections of stone walling, carefully salvaging and setting aside stone for reuse, constructing new concrete foundations, installing drainage measures to reduce pressure on the retaining structure, and reconstructing the stone wall to replicate its existing character and appearance.
