About this contract

Leeds City Council’s internal service provider (ISP) for construction and repair works, Leeds Building Services (LBS) are responsible for installing Specialist Flue Systems in line with Gas Safety Regulations. This will involve the design, supply, installation and commission of bespoke flue systems including pressure testing. The contractors will be expected to survey, design, supply components, install and commission bespoke chimney/flue systems for combustion appliances (mainly natural gas but may on occasion include heating oil and wood pellet fuelled appliances). Each installation will be unique to the individual site. The overall contract may include some maintenance and repair work to existing flue systems. A typical installation project will include: 1. Site survey of proposed location with details of proposed appliances. 2. Provide a design compliant with BS EN 13384. 3. Supply and install components. 4. Commission system to BS EN 15287. To include a positive pressure test where the flue is P1 pressure or above. (This will be the case in the majority of projects).
