About this contract

The aim of the Volunteering Service is to provide a core package of specialist volunteering which support that enables events, widen participation, and promotes social action across Wirral. This contributes directly to the Wirral Plan ambition to improve equity for people and place by delivering a borough-wide service that supports those most in need. Funding has been allocated to continue developing supporting a Single Front for Volunteering programme, designed to encourage and enable local communities to take part in volunteering and social action. The Council recognises that the Provider is best placed to understand what works locally to inspire residents to volunteer. For this reason, WCVS will have the flexibility to deliver the services in the most effective and innovative way, while meeting the requirements set out within this specification. Contract term - 2 years and overall contract value £158,333.33.
