The NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership, hosted by Velindre University NHS Trust, is acting on behalf of Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. This contract is for a Psychosocial Substance Misuse Service within HMP & YOI Parc Prison. The purpose of the service is to provide psychosocial interventions to prisoners and children within HMP & YOI Parc Prison. The service provides assessment, stabilisation, and assisted withdrawal for individuals with substance misuse problems. This notice constitutes an Intention to Award Notice and confirms the commissioner’s intention to award a contract following the application of Direct Award Process 2 under the Health Services (Provider Selection Regime) (Wales) Regulations. Direct Award Process 2 has been considered the most appropriate procurement process for this requirement, as the term of the existing contract is due to expire and the commissioner has proposed a new contract to replace the existing contract at the end of its term.
