Lancashire County Council is seeking tenders for the provision of services for the Collection, transportation, acceptance, and Recovery of Treated Residual Waste from Thornton Waste Recovery Park. In summary, the services will comprise the collection, direct transportation, weighing and recovery of up to 75,000 Tonnes per annum of Treated Residual Waste from Thornton Waste Recovery Park. The Services are being procured on the basis of two (2) lots comprising of up to 37,500 Tonnes per annum of Treated Residual Waste. The Authority is seeking to appoint a single Provider for each Lot. The Authority will pay the Provider for a guaranteed minimum tonnage of Treated Residual Waste each Contract Year as detailed in Annex B of the Specification and the Contract. At least three months prior to the commencement of each Contract Year the Authority will notify the successful Tenderer(s) of a Reserve Tonnage for that Contract Year; and the Tenderer will be obliged to make capacity at the relevant Provider Facilities available to accept the Reserve Tonnage of Treated Residual Waste Collected and transported to the Provider Facility.
