Who won: Provision of Emergency Asbestos-related works

About this contract

The works are required to ensure a safe fire escape route for staff and the public and involve the installation of a protective ceiling system beneath an existing suspended ceiling. The solution includes the installation of a structural timber framework and plywood barrier designed to contain falling debris and maintain safe access and headroom. All works will be carried out in accordance with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and relevant health and safety legislation. The works include site preparation, installation, sealing to prevent dust migration, and full clean-up. This requirement has been identified as urgent due to health and safety risks associated with the existing conditions, and immediate action is required to ensure compliance and safe operation of the facility.
