A public sector contract from Royal Berkshire Fire Authority. Below: what it involves and how to write a winning bid for it.
Royal Berkshire Fire Authority (the Authority) require a waiver to be in place for the maintenance of Fuel Tanks (previously called Underground Tanks). Vectec have been a long-term supplier of Fuel Tanks, and they have installed and monitored our equipment since 2014. They have provided detailed reports and very good service to the Authority. The contract includes: • Annual Service including parts & labour for all bulk fuel stations • Ad hoc repairs • Updates of software The equipment and services proprietary to Vectec include the hardware and software, access rights, technical data and specialist knowledge of the Authority's tanks after looking after them for 12 years. The servicing of the tanks is operationally critical due to the consequences of interruption from inaccurate fuel monitoring, equipment failure, environmental risk or disruption to fleet availability. There are currently tanks at Bracknell, Langley, Maidenhead, Newbury, Slough, Whitley Wood and Wokingham. Out of these stations, Bracknell, Langley, Maidenhead, Newbury and Slough have underground tanks. Then Whitley Wood and Wokingham have above-ground tanks.
