Health Technical Memorandum 04-01 (Safe water in healthcare premises) mandates the Trust to appoint a competent person to provide the Services required. The purpose of the Services is to provide external auditing and guidance to facilitate the Trust's compliance under the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2022 and the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. The objective is to ensure the Trust has robust measures in place to protect immunosuppressed patients from infections (E.g. legionella disease).
