Langley Fire Station is a detached, purpose-built two-storey building, with high single-storey appliance bays. The building is located within a residential area south of London Road in Langley and close to the M4 (exit 5). We estimate the building was constructed in 1963. The building is not listed by English Heritage, and we are not aware that it is listed by the Local Authority. A recent condition survey assessed the building to be in a 'satisfactory' condition, with no significant structural defects, however, it did identify areas for improvement. Estates development projects have been phased based on organisational priority and service delivery requirements, alignment to the core estate development objectives and capacity to effectively undertake the necessary work. The services provided by the multi-disciplinary team will support the Client in the delivery of the refurbishment project to deliver, so far as is reasonably practicable, a fully compliant, fit for purpose facility.
