Derbyshire Dales District Council (The Council) is currently considering a range of potential delivery models for the future provision of its waste and recycling collection service. As part of its service review, the Council is assessing which delivery model is best placed to meet its strategic objectives, statutory obligations, service requirements and value for money considerations. This Pre Market Engagement exercise (PME) is intended to gather information from the market in relation to the following delivery models only: • A single supplier contract for the provision of waste and recycling collection services; and • A joint venture arrangement between the Council and a private sector partner, through which a jointly owned company would operate the waste and recycling collection service. The Council has not reached a decision on its preferred delivery model and reserves the right to consider alternative delivery options outside the scope of this engagement. The Council is conducting this PME in accordance with Sections 16 and 17 of the Procurement Act 2023.
