East Riding of Yorkshire Council is seeking feedback from accommodation providers and partners to help inform the development of future accommodation pathways for young people aged 16–18+. East Riding of Yorkshire Council is trying to strengthen the pathway to independence and explore a range of sustainable accommodation options for young people aged 16–18+, including care leavers, Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) and young people who require accommodation as they transition towards adulthood and greater independence. As part of this work, we want to engage with providers and draw on your experience, expertise and understanding of the accommodation market to consider: • How existing provision could be strengthened; • What are the opportunities to develop new accommodation models; • How the Council might work more effectively with external providers and other partners to create sustainable accommodation pathways for young people. The Council wishes to understand market capacity, identify realistic opportunities and consider what future accommodation models could look like.
