Pancreatic Cancer Primary Care Case-Finding Pilot baseline data collection. The University of Oxford (UoO) will provide NHS England with access to the ORCHID-E dataset, hosted by the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences at the UoO. ORCHID is a unique national dataset, routinely collecting and securely storing pseudonymised patient-level data from over 2,000 GP practices across England. It is the only dataset that provides harmonised data across multiple GP clinical systems, with established infrastructure and information governance arrangements enabling regular and automated extraction without burdening GP practices. UoO will conduct three data extractions from ORCHID between August 2026 - December 2029, this data will be used by ICL in conjunction with other data sources to answer the pilot’s central evaluation questions.
