Neath Port Talbot Council has made an award for the recommissioning of our adult domiciliary care services under a new 'Open' Framework, the aim of which is to deliver care to adults living in their own homes, to support them to achieve improved outcomes. The Framework will deliver high-quality, person-centred domiciliary care services to individuals in their own homes and has been procured as a ‘light touch’ framework under the Procurement Act 2023. The framework will take the form of an open framework (a scheme of successive frameworks) up to eight years in duration, the first framework being a maximum of three years and the second a maximum of five years allowing periodic admission of new providers during the framework term. The scope of services will include the delivery of care and support in line with assessed needs and Care and Support Plans. Services are expected to promote independence, wellbeing and prevention, supporting individuals to remain within their own homes and communities for as long as possible.
