GM Live Well is Greater Manchester's commitment to ensuring great every day support is available in every neighbourhood. It represents a shift in how public services work with people and communities. Live Well is a partnership between NHS GM, 10GM and GMCA, the 10 local authorities, health, business, the Voluntary, Community, Faith and social enterprise sector and people and communities. Working together to create conditions for people to thrive, not just survive, removing barriers to opportunity and tackling health, social and economic inequalities. In 2023, with support from The National Lottery Community Fund, the Live Well programme was launched, enabling five accelerator sites to lead work (one of which was Oldham) to tackle persistent barriers to Live Well. These areas are a part of a growing movement for community-led health and wellbeing, connecting and amplifying existing, brilliant support in GM's communities During 2025, Live Well's strategic remit has expanded, and it has grown to become Greater Manchester's catalyst for delivering long held prevention and reform ambitions.
