Background: Our ambition is that NE managed NNRs demonstrate and deliver the NE Strategy and the NNR Strategy and standards. We want to maximise the strength of each site, our collective skills and our resources; be clear on Natural England's role, and place greater emphasis on collaborative partnerships. We want an estate that is legally and contractually compliant, is safe and welcoming to our annual visitors aregistered volunteers and is also affordable and deliverable. This project will consider where Natural England will invest, including Grant in Aid, income and other sources of funding and where we might change our role. On-going estate management, including improvements and efficiencies, will be delivered whilst the review takes place.
