The Authority is seeking to award one contract to deliver the Scheme in Brighton. For the period from 01/04/2027 to 31/03/2028, with an option to extend for a further 2 x 12 month extensions. To deliver the Night Safety Marshal Scheme, whilst the Successful Supplier does not have to be a Security Industry Authority (SIA) approved supplier, the marshals deployed as part of the Scheme must be and hold valid SIA Door Supervisor Accreditation. The Night Safety Marshal Scheme will, as a minimum, be required to deliver the following: To deploy 8 Security Industry Authority (SIA) accredited and licenced marshals in each of the high harm hyperlocal areas identified by Sussex Police at peak hours (20:00-04:00) (as set out in 1.2.1 Patrolling the Nighttime economy (NTE) Hyperlocal areas) To ensure that the 8 marshals deployed in each high harm area comprise of a minimum of 2 females. Preventing violence against women and girls is a priority for the Authority and as such, keen to ensure all marshals are trained and equipped to deal with victims appropriately.
