How to win: Meals on Wheels

About this contract

This service will provide a selected group of residents with daily, nutritious hot meals delivered straight to their homes, primarily to address food insecurity and, secondarily, to ease social isolation. Therefore, the London Borough of Tower Hamlets is seeking a food supplier with a proven track record, ideally within the borough, and the logistical capacity to sustain a reliable, high-quality delivery service. All meals must meet rigorous nutritional standards and accommodate a wide range of dietary and cultural requirements, while offering residents daily choice and flexibility in meal selection. This is for a 3 year contract.

How to win contracts like this

• ✓Answer against the marking scheme, not the question text — Tower Hamlets scores each response, so map your evidence to the published criteria and weightings.
• ✓At £3,000,000, expect quality and social value to carry a large share of the score — price alone rarely wins services work.
• ✓Show recent, comparable delivery: name similar services contracts you've delivered for public bodies, with measurable outcomes.
• ✓Start early: it closes 2 December 2026 and a strong bid takes iteration.
