1. INTRODUCTION Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council (the “Council”) is seeking to appoint the services of a contractor, to deliver a green roof shelter structure as part of its ‘Local Places for Nature’ funded projects. The project is looking at new ways of turning ‘grey to green’ by using nature as a way to combat the effect of climate change; help us deal more effectively with issues relating to noise and air pollution, and nature emergency. The project will use the best practices obtained through similar projects throughout the county borough. 2. BACKGROUND INFORMATION The existing shelter located at Margam Country Park is need of replacement, and will be replaced with a new green roof shelter to enhance the biodiversity in this hand feeding area for livestock. The project will be managed by Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council, led by the Countryside and Wildlife Team Biodiversity Officers. The existing structure is approximately 8m Long by 4.5m Wide, and 2.5M tall. It is Enclosed on three sides, has multiple signage posters and 3 wash basins on the inside.
