The purpose of this Prior Information Notice (PIN) is to alert potential suppliers to an opportunity in relation to provision of a lead neighbourhood organisation for the obesity pathway innovation programme (phase 1) for Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust with a joint collaborative project across Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust. The Commissioner is seeking to appoint a Neighbourhood Lead Organisation (the Provider) to coordinate and support an integrated neighbourhood obesity pathway as part of the Obesity Pathway Innovation Programme (OPIP). The Provider will act as the local pathway integrator, bringing together existing NHS, local authority and voluntary sector provision, and will commission or deliver additional support where an evidenced gap cannot be met through existing provision. The Provider is not expected to deliver every component of overweight and obesity prevention and treatment, and must not unnecessarily duplicate, displace or replace services already commissioned through the NHS, local authorities or other national programmes.
