THE SITE The site is Abbey Park, Glastonbury, BA6 9ET. The park is owned by Glastonbury Abbey and is part of the designated Scheduled Monument. Glastonbury Abbey have consented to the works and Glastonbury Town Council has applied for Scheduled Monument Consent via the Abbey's Archaeologist. As the site is on a scheduled monument, an Archaeologist will need to be present during some of the works to keep a watching brief on any potential finds of archaeological significance. This will be provided and paid for by Glastonbury Town Council. 3. THE CLIENT The client for the works is Glastonbury Town Council. 4. SPECIFICATION Tarmac Pad The tarmac pad is to be 12.5m in width and 22m in length. It is to be laid upon a suitable hard standing base with a two-layer tarmac top consisting of a binding layer and playing surface. The pad is to be constructed of porous materials and edged.
