About this contract

Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks, comprising Scottish Hydro Electric Power Distribution plc and Southern Electric Power Distribution plc, intends to establish a multi-supplier Framework Agreement for the supply and delivery of low voltage (LV) and medium voltage (MV) cable products. The Framework Agreement may also be called off by SSEN Transmission, SSE Renewables, SSE utility Solution Ltd, TESGL Ltd and SSE Heat Networks Ltd where technically appropriate. The scope will include LV concentric cables, LV waveform cables, LV auxiliary “fast runner” cables, and 11kV and 33kV cable products. By combining these requirements into a single procurement exercise, SSEN aims to improve security of supply, maximise competition, support supplier participation, provide greater demand visibility, and deliver value for customers. The arrangement is also intended to support SSEN Distribution’s ED3 and ED4 investment programme and future network requirements.
