The proposed scheme objectives are outlined below: • Eliminate the key barrier to active travel between Steeton and Silsden by overcoming the severance of the A629 • Improve cycling and walking access to facilities, services, education, and employment opportunities, such as Steeton and Silsden Station and Airedale Hospital from Steeton & Silsden town centres • Make active travel a natural and popular choice for local and short distance trips and deliver a 20% uplift in walking and a 50% uplift in cycling between Steeton and Silsden within 5 years of the scheme opening. • Improve the perception of safety for cyclists and pedestrians traveling between Steeton and Silsden • Enhance air quality and contribute to decarbonisation thro
