The aims and objectives of Extra Care services are: To provide personalised care and support to people living in Extra Care Housing who have assessed eligible care needs under the Care Act 2014. To maximise the independence of people living in Extra Care Housing, including those with Dementia, enabling them to live well and independently, carry out the functions of daily living, and to achieve positive outcomes in respect of addressing their identified needs and their overall experience of the service. To promote and maintain residents' health and wellbeing, enabling them to overcome any anxieties, build resilience and increase their confidence to live independentl
