About this contract

Castle Point Borough Council (CPBC) through the Essex Procurement Partnership (EPP) recently launched a tender process to renew their recycling waste disposal services contracts. (notices below). This related the provision of a waste transfer station (WTS), haulage and Materials Recycling Facility (MRF) services for the borough's dry mixed recycling requirements (excluding glass). Due to receiving limited responses, which did not meet the Authority's requirements, the procurement was terminated. The Authority would now like to re-engage the market to gain further understanding of certain key themes, such as pricing and income expenditure and the position around DRS, among other elements, so that we can re-issue the tender in a more informed position. We are seeking Expressions of Interest in the retender with the view to further discuss the viability of any proposed amendments with potential bidders.
