How to win: Discovery into the Professionalisation of the NHS DDaT Workforce

About this contract

This work will commission a discovery exercise to assess how the NHS Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) workforce could be professionalised to improve capability, consistency, recruitment, retention and career development across the NHS. Through research, workforce analysis, stakeholder engagement and options appraisal, the supplier will explore interventions such as capability frameworks, career pathways, accreditation, professional registration and continuing professional development, ultimately producing evidence-based recommendations and a high-level roadmap to inform future policy, investment and implementation decisions.

How to win contracts like this

• ✓Answer against the marking scheme, not the question text — NHS England scores each response, so map your evidence to the published criteria and weightings.
• ✓At £50,000, expect quality and social value to carry a large share of the score — price alone rarely wins services work.
• ✓Show recent, comparable delivery: name similar services contracts you've delivered for public bodies, with measurable outcomes.
• ✓Start early: it closes 23 September 2026 and a strong bid takes iteration.
