To support these improvements and accommodate increasing visitor demand, the Authority is seeking to improve the existing overflow car park through the installation of a reinforced hardstanding surface capable of year-round use. The proposal will provide approximately 60 parking spaces within the footprint of the existing overflow parking area, which has been used for many years during periods of high visitor demand and to support events hosted at Danby Lodge. The development will utilise a permeable cellular reinforcement system with a stone-filled finish, creating a durable, weather-resistant surface whilst retaining a natural appearance appropriate to its National Park setting.
