How to win: Chelmsford College Website tender

About this contract

The College is looking for a company to build a new website in ASP.net to replace our current website. It should appeal to all of our user groups: students, parents, local businesses, etc. We are looking for a mobile first design that will capture the interest of prospective students. We would also ask that all designs are able to meet the accessibility standards set out by the WCAG

How to win contracts like this

• ✓Answer against the marking scheme, not the question text — Chelmsford College scores each response, so map your evidence to the published criteria and weightings.
• ✓At £50,000, expect quality and social value to carry a large share of the score — price alone rarely wins services work.
• ✓Show recent, comparable delivery: name similar services contracts you've delivered for public bodies, with measurable outcomes.
• ✓Start early: it closes 6 November 2026 and a strong bid takes iteration.
