National Grid requires the provision of comprehensive Asbestos Consultancy, Management, Analytical, Mitigation, Containment and Removal Services across its portfolio of operational and non-operational sites across England and Wales. The services are required across two separate National Grid business units: • National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) • National Grid Electricity Distribution (NGED) Suppliers should note that NGET and NGED operate as separate business units and may have differing operational requirements, governance arrangements, systems, processes, standards and reporting requirements. The anticipated term of the framework will be a 4-year initial term with 4 year extension options upon mutual agreement. The services shall support National Grid in fulfilling its duties under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 (CAR 2012), including the duty to manage asbestos, and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, Approved Codes of Practice and Health and Safety Executive (HSE) guidance.
