These dampers are critical suspension components connecting the bogies (wheelsets) to the car body, primarily to absorb vibrations, control excessive movement, and ensure a smooth stable ride by managing vertical bumps and side-to-side (lateral) swaying, boosting passenger comfort and reducing noise.
